Rose-Gold Makeup Look
Hello fellow beauty lovers! This has been my go-to look lately on these cold winter days. I think this is a really wearable day time look that can easily be transitioned into a night time look by adding a darker matte color to the outer corner and crease. This tutorial is just for the eye makeup not the full face so I won't go into how I do my foundation, concealer, powder, etc. Also, another note, you do not have to use the exact same products I used for this look, use whatever you have available to you! I hope you guys enjoy this look and leave a comment if there is something specific you would like to see posted :)
What I used
- Lorac Pro 2 Pallette and Eye Primer
- ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in "Amaze"
- Real Techniques Eyes Starter Set
- Real Techniques Silicon Liner Brush
- Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in "Blackest Black"
Step 1: Prime your eyes with whatever primer you have. I have the Lorac primer because it comes with the Lorac Pro 2 palette. I do like this primer, my eye shadow still creases after a while, but I do notice that it brightens the color of the shadows.
Step 2: Apply the color "beige" from the Lorac Pro 2 palette all over the lid and up to the brow bone as a highlight.
Step 3: Using some sort of blending brush or small fluffy round brush, take "nectar" from the Lorac Pro 2 palette and work it into the crease using wind-shield wiper and circular motions. This helps to warm up the lid. I usually do this a couple times to get the best amount of pigmentation.
Step 4: Take the color "Rose" from the Lorac Pro 2 palette on a flat shader brush and pack it all over the lid stopping at the crease. This will serve as our base color under the ColourPop shadow.
Step 5: Take the color "Amaze" from ColourPop Cosmetics on your finger and pack it on the lid over where we put "Rose". Usually it takes a couple times of packing on the color to get maximum sparkle out of the shadow all over the lid.
Step 6: Take "Nectar" again on the same fluffy brush and use it to blend out any harsh lines in the crease.
(optional) Take a black pencil liner and line your tight-line, I did not in this case because I felt my gel liner was enough, but it is personal preference.
Step 7: Take a black liner and line your top lid. I prefer gel liner because I can get a very thin line. For a night-time look I probably would have gone with liquid liner and maybe added a wing.
Step 8: Make sure you do your concealer before this step! Take the color "Rose" on a pencil brush and sweep it just under the waterline to about the middle of the eye. Then take "Nectar" and use that along the rest of the waterline, but stop before the inner corner.
Step 9: Take "Snow" from the Lorac Pro 2 palette on a pencil brush and apply it to the inner corner of your eye. Use the pencil brush to blend the 3 colors along the waterline together
Step 10: Apply your favorite mascara and you're done!
I feel like rose gold might be the trend of 2016.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen any rose gold highlighters? I would love to get my hands on one
