About
This palette is a neutral palette with one row of color. This palette has 9 matte shades and 3 lusters. The names of the shadows are to inspire and empower women. These shadows are GORGEOUS and I was immediately drawn to it. I would definitely call this a warm palette. The only shadows that lean more cool tone are the ones in the top row.
Comparison to Original Tartelette
This palette is definitely much warmer than the original Tartelette palette. The color row in the original is a purple plum row, and in this palette it is more pinky-mauve shades. I don't think anyone needs both palettes, but it is up to you.
Packaging
The palette is a shiny plastic with a beautiful floral print on the cover. The back is just gold and it shows fingerprints like crazy. It is a small thin palette which makes it great for travel. The only thing I don't like about the packaging is the clasp/closure. It is kinda hard to get it open, it chips my nail polish a lot. I prefer magnetic palettes.
Shadows
As described on Ulta
Left to right, top to bottom
Charmer (matte): Off White
Jetsetter (matte): Warm Taupe
Rocker (luster): Shimmering Taupe
Smokeshow (matte): Black Brown
Flower Child (matte): Peachy Nude
Smarty Pants (matte): Tan
Firecracker (luster): Bronze Copper
Activist (matte): Dark Brown
Funny Girl (luster): Champagne
Sweetheart (matte): Peach
Rebel (matte): Chestnut Brown
Leader (matte): Aubergine
I love all of these shadows but some of my favorites are:
- Smarty Pants: The PERFECT transition shade
- Funny Girl: It is sheer enough to look slightly different dependent on the base
- Leader: Deepens the look while keeping it very warm and smokey
Swatches
Swatches are done in the same order as the last section.
All shadows are swatched with primer underneath.
Review
I give this palette 4 stars! The 4 stars are because you can come up with a good variety of looks and there isn't one color in this palette I would not use. The packaging is compact and beautiful. The shadows blend super well and are extremely soft.
The lack of one star is because the clasp is annoying and the first time I used this the shadows are so blendable they turned into a mush of one color. The second time I used it, it was perfect so I would say there's a slight learning curve.
Brilliant review girl! Def think I will add this to my wish list!Love the shade Leader that would be great for the crease! Love the post!xxx
