Maybelline FIT Me (Matte + Poreless) Review

REVIEW

Today I will be doing a review on the Maybelline FIT Me Matte +Poreless foundation and powder. I also will be throwing in their the FIT Me bronzer since I picked it up too.  In this picture they look pretty orange, but they aren't really.  Anyways, lets get into it!

First, lets start off with the foundation. There are two types of this collection, either for normal to oily skin or normal to dry skin. I have very oily skin therefore I got the normal to oily skin version. I would call this a medium coverage foundation.  It definitely isn't full coverage. I have to go over my acne scars an extra time to cover them.  The good part is, this is very buildable. It goes on as medium coverage, but if you want full coverage you can just go over it again. It does not feel cakey or too thick, it is pretty light weight.  The only reason I don't LOVE this is that I don't see a difference in my pores, and it doesn't keep me matte.  I have the original Maybelline FIT Me and I don't notice any significant difference in my pores or shine when comparing the two.  My favorite foundation is the Loreal True Match foundation, and I feel that keeps me more matte than this one does and it doesn't even specify being for oily skin. This foundation is probably perfect for normal skin. This foundation feels great around the outside of my face where I don't get too oily. Definitely try it if you're interested because it isn't too expensive and everyone is different.

Next, the powder.  I actually really like this powder. I only use it to set my problem areas like my T-zone.  I use a powder brush from Real Techniques to apply it, not the sponge applicator it comes with.  It has pretty decent coverage which I do not like.  I like my powders to be fairly translucent so that if I touch up oily patches on my face I am not building up color so that I look orange. Instead I use this powder to initially set my foundation and then I use a lighter translucent powder for any touch ups throughout the day.  I wouldn't say this is the best EVER, but I definitely like the product.

Finally, the bronzer, which is not part of the Matte + Poreless collection, but it is part of the FIT Me collection.   The reason I was drawn to this bronzer is because it is slightly cooler toned than other bronzers I have so I thought it would be better for contouring.  I use this for contouring and really like it. My only complaint is its not super pigmented,  I have to swirl my brush around in it quite a bit to pick up the color.  Also, I do not recommend using the brush that comes with it.  The brush is extremely plasticky (I know I just made up my own word) and harsh on the face.  Use one of your own face brushes and you are set! I do recommend this product, I really like the color and it is great for contouring, which is super in right now!
