First Impressions Revlon Colorstay
Hello everyone. Today I am doing a first impressions of the Revlon Colorstay for Normal/Dry skin. I have very oily skin and actually grabbed this foundation from the combination/oily skin section and this one must have been in the wrong spot. Lesson: always read the bottle. For foundation designed for normal/dry skin I am pleasantly surprised with how well this lasted on my skin. This foundation claims to wear for 24 hours without breaking down or looking cakey or fading. It also says it is buildable to full coverage. There are 20 different shades.
This is my skin before the application of the foundation. I do have the Maybelline Master Prime Primer on. I know some people do these with primer only on half their face, but I wear primer every day I wear foundation so it doesn't make sense to see how it works without primer. As you can see I have quite a bit of acne breakouts and scarring to cover up with this foundation.
Bare Skin

With Foundation
This is one layer of the foundation applied with a damp beauty blender. I would call this medium coverage. You can still see some of my acne underneath but it definitely evens out my skin tone and covers most of the redness from my acne. This applied really well to my skin and feels very natural on my skin. It feels a little tacky until set with powder, but that may be due to my oily skin.
Full Makeup
This is my full makeup done for the day. I think the foundation has a very natural finish on my skin and gives a nice airbrushed effect. I also took a picture with flash and there was no flashback with this foundation.
7 Hours Later...
Sorry the photo quality isn't as great, I took this one with my phone. I have a little oil between my brows and on my cheeks. For foundation made for normal/dry skin I am no where near as oily as I thought I would be.
Conclusions
I really enjoyed how this foundation looked on my skin and how it wore throughout the day. I will have to wear it for a full day to see if it lasts all day. I didn't apply it until noon. Compared to some of my matte foundations, I found myself with less oil at the end of the day wearing this one. This may be one of my new favorite foundations. It has been out for a while, but if you haven't tried it I recommend you do!
Love,
Sam
